New B/W Pokémon, Characters, and Locations Leaked

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

CoroCoro, a Japanese magazine, was leaked early to the public today, revealing new Pokémon, better pictures of some Pokémon we’ve seen thus far, new characters, and new areas to be implemented into Black and White.

Let us start with the Pokémon:

Wooguru Musharna Minezumi, Kibago, & Koromori

First image: The new war eagle Pokémon above is of the Normal and Flying types and is entitled the Valor Pokémon. It is 1.5m tall and weighs 41kg. Its abilities are Keen Eye and Encourage, a new ability which increases the power of its attacks, though disables said attacks’ secondary effects, such as causing Paralysis or having to wait a turn to recharge. It learns a move called Free Fall, which involves lifting the opponent into the air one turn and letting it fall to the ground on the next.

Second image: The Pokémon in that picture looks a bit like a Pokémon I displayed last week, huh? It’s not the same one, it is its evolution. This Pokémon is described as having something to do with Dream Smoke, which somehow involves Game Sync. Though there is not enough information included to decipher the meaning of “Dream Smoke,” we can assume “Game Sync” is the uploading of your Black/White game save file to the Internet, a vague feature revealed recently.

Third image:Here we see better pictures of some Pokémon revealed in the past two updates.

On to the new characters:

Childhood friend Cheren N Makomo

First and second image: These pictures depict the player’s two childhood friends, the second of whom we saw begin to battle in the video from last week.

Third image: This character is also familiar from last weeks video. He is known simply as “N“. It is unknown whether this is the name he will actually go by in the games.

Fourth image: The woman in the lab coat is a friend of the region’s professor. She will have a role in the plot of Black and White.

Now I shall proceed to new areas:

White Forest Black City

The two areas displayed in the two images above are version-exclusive areas of Black and White. The first image depicts White Forest, while the second portrays Black City. It is unknown which area will correspond to which version, though I predict White Forest will be in Black Version and Black City will be in White Version, due to the games’ concept reference to Yin and Yang; furthermore, this is likely because Reshiram (Black Versions mascot) is a white Pokémon who seems to represent nature, while Zekrom (White Version’s mascot) is a black, Electric type Pokémon who carries the essence of industry and technology.

Not as grand as I would like, but every Web site has to begin somewhere.

Hello, I am Exorc. I present to you Pokémon Exorc, a Web site dedicated to developing quality Pokémon games. To see a list of Pokémon Exorc’s projects, click their pages in the blue navigation bar above. For simple and convenient referral, each project has been given a short, one-word title that begins with the prefix “Poké”. Note that these names are code names that belong solely to our projects, not the games that will spawn from them.

Being an online Pokémon game studio means we have to keep a close eye on the latest Pokémon news from Game Freak and Nintendo. Likewise, this site will not only present the latest information on Pokémon Exorc’s projects, but will also encompass the latest Pokémon news in general, particularly that of the main series Pokémon games.

As such, I compile images and information in this post about the upcoming Pokémon games, Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, both of which are to be released in Japan on September 18 of this year.

Trailer, revealing new Pokémon, characters, and features:

As you can see above, triple battles (three versus three battles) are being added to the mix of game mechanics in the main series Pokémon games. I’m happy to announce that you all can expect to see this new feature in PokéBattle, PokéLegend, and PokéWorld.

That’s all for the first update. This page will be updated frequently so keep an eye here. Also, be sure to join and post in our forum if you have not already. Yes, it’s very empty and boring right now, I know, but you can help us change that! There’s a link in the blue navigation bar at the top.
